Israeli scientists discover a 99-million-year-old insect in amber

Israeli scientists have recently uncovered （挖出） a new species of flea. The flea was believed to live about 99 million years ago during the mid-Cretaceous period （白堊紀中期） when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.  The insect was found in a piece of amber （琥珀） that was exceptionally preserved （保存）.
