Black Adam（黑亞當）is an upcoming American supervillain（大反派）movie, featuring the character of the same name from DC Comics as the protagonist（主角）. The film is scheduled to be released in the US in October this year. Produced by Seven Bucks Productions and Flynn Picture Co. and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a spinoff and sequel （續集）to the 2019 movie Shazam! and the eleventh work in the DC Extended Universe. The story was co-written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani and directed by Devi Johnson, Noah Sendinho, Otis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell and Pierce Brosnan.
The Justice Society of America (JSA) is a fictional（虛構的）superhero team that appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. The cast includes Hawkman, Atomic Smasher, Doctor Fate, and Cyclone. If you like DC comics, you won’t be unfamiliar with these roles.
A press conference（新聞發佈會）was held in late June in the United States to promote the film to the media. Among them, Devi Johnson the director wore a very stylish black dress to attend.Dwayne Johnson led the title role Black Adam (aka Teth-Adam), which is the character’s first live-action adaptation. The role was previously set in the 2019 film Shazam! After appearing on the cover of the magazine “Total Film”, Dwayne Johnson remarked on his IG: “Black Adam has been with me for over ten years now. That gives you an idea of how passionate I am about this project… And it feels like now, the man that I’ve become, I’m able to bring a little bit of my own life lessons and philosophies and engrain them in the DNA of this character”
Black Adam used to be a supervillain in the DC Comics who has always been opposed to superheroes and members of the Marvel family. He is a corrupt ancient Egyptian prince who was chosen by the wizard Shazam thousands of years ago to be the first moral defender, and was given the power of the six ancient Egyptian gods. His mind was eroded by evil and became Black Adam, who then tried to get rid of all wizards and magicians to become the only person in the world who could use magic, in the hope of imposing his unique version of order on the new world. He was finally defeated by the wizard Shazam and sealed（密封）for a millennium（一千年）.
Since the turn of the 21st century, the character began to be redefined as an antihero （反英雄）by DC cartoonists. An antihero does not have traditionally heroic qualities, such as courage, and is admired instead for what society generally considers to be a weakness of their character. Black Adam has been reinvented（重新創造） throughout the years to be more of an antihero than villain. Anyway, whether you like it or not, Black Adam is so unique（獨一無二的）and different. He’s either a villain or a hero, it all depends on your point of view.
